GOKULA FARM Lot
1 Lewis Lane, Millfield
(Near. Cessnock), NSW. (Please note: no farm enquiries can be dealt with from Sydney temple, please contact them directly) New Gokula Farm is situated in the beautiful Hunter Valley region, close to Cessnock, and has it's own Temple building, ashram and dairy. The farm was established in 1988 with a hand-built mud-brick Temple housing their Lordships Sri Sri Radha-Gokulananda, and a complete spiritual program is run each morning which guests can attend. The farm has 200 acres of pasture, half of which is utilised for agriculture. Almost 80 cows live peaceful lives there free from slaughter. Some organic fruit and vegetables are also cultivated, and the farm has a small but attractive flower garden. All the main Vaisnava festivals are observed - including a celebration of Govardhana-puja around October/November every year. Each Sunday a program is held in the temple comprising of kirtana, lecture on 'Bhagavad-gita', and pure vegetarian feast. New Gokula offers people the facility of learning spiritual culture in a peaceful rural-setting.
